Position Title: Distribution Lighting Sales Representative

Position Description

  • Working in collaboration with LIGHT Specification and Project Management Sales Teams
  • Working with electrical distributors, lighting wholesalers, builder distributors, national account distributors and lighting showrooms to create awareness and demand for LIGHT represented manufacturer’s products.
  • Manage accounts utilizing a strategic process to gain market share within these distribution channels.
  • Work directly with represented manufacturers on programs, promotions and product placement initiatives.
  • Fast paced working environment selling products that change rapidly in design and function.

Position Requirements

  • Have worked at an electrical distributor, national account distributor, builder lighting distributor, lighting distributor, or specification lighting sales agency for at least 5 years, college degree preferable.
  • Willingness to learn technically sophisticated products in an ever changing product offering.
  • Strong knowledge of both the technical and fashion components of current lighting products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Outlook

  • Self-motivated and self-starter working out of home office and familiar with the in territory representative selling process.
  • Goal oriented and the ability to multi-task.
  • A high sense of urgency.
  • Able to implement long term strategic plans as well as problem solve on short term issues and initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Position Title: Project Management/Inside Sales Representative

The following position will be based in Torrance, California working with a team of professionals within LIGHT, one of the leading Manufacturers Sales Rep. Agencies in the Industry.

Position Description

  • Working in collaboration with the LIGHT outside sales teams
  • Working directly with clients – specifiers, electrical distributors, lighting distributors, builder distributors, and national account lighting distributors
  • Providing product information, quotes, project management leadership and customer service.

Position Requirements

  • Experience in the lighting, electrical, national account or builder industry in a project management / inside sales capacity
  • Knowledge and experience working with architectural and decorative lighting products
  • Knowledge of the current technologies of LED lighting
  • Experienced in creating lighting quotations for both stock and custom products
  • Experienced in working with all types of specifiers, distributors and purchasing agents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AGI 32 Lighting Analysis software, Adobe Acrobat and Oasis for Sales Agents

  • Outside sales calling on lighting designers, architects, landscape architects, electrical engineers, hospitality design firms and commercial interiors firms
  • Creating brand and product awareness for LIGHT represented manufacturers
  • Presenting, promoting, educating and providing selection assistance to top tier specifier clients

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience working with architectural and decorative lighting products
  • Knowledge and experience developing custom lighting solutions, both architectural and decorative
  • Knowledge of the current technologies of solid state lighting
  • Experienced in working with all types of lighting specifiers
