NYCxDESIGN 2017

Bringing together all disciplines of design, commerce, culture, education, and entertainment New York City’s annual citywide celebration of design- NYCxDESIGN returns until May 24th. Spanning over New York’s five boroughs and offering a diverse program spanning from exhibitions, installations, trade shows, talks, launches and open studios, NYCxDESIGN creates a collaborative environment that embraces all aspects of design and welcomes all audiences.

In its 29th year and closing out the last few days of NYCxDESIGN, ICFF will be held May 21-24 at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. North America’s platform for global and contemporary design ICFF will map the frontier of what’s best and what’s next. Luring those in pursuit of design’s timely truths and latest trends ICFF will host over 35,000 industry attendees and more than 750 exhibitors from all over the globe. Among these exhibitors will be some of LIGHT’s most modern and contemporary manufacturers – Cerno, David Trubridge, LZF, Marset, Modern Fan Co., Pablo, and SONNEMAN.

Cerno will be showcasing its latest products and an expansive new material palette at booth 853. Experience the latest modern LED lighting designs from their Southern California studio throughout the show.

Trubirdge

With its official worldwide launch only 4 weeks ago at Euroluce, David Trubridge will be bringing his Navicula to New York. Inspired by microscopic diatoms living in our oceans and designed in a similar fashion to the rest of Trubridge’s fixtures, the flowing Navicula can transform a simple ordinary space into an emotionally charged one that glows with seductive tones and flickers with lively shadow patterns. Making their return to the Big Apple after a seven-year hiatus, LZF is excited to present their latest collections at ICFF. With five new fixtures on display and an exciting new finish, booth 1733 is a must-see!

Marset will be going into ICFF as a winner. Their new portable lamp the Bicoca has won the #MetropolisLikes award by Metropolis magazine. The new colorful, lightweight portable lamp, by Christophe Mathieu, projects an intimate light that adds warmth to all your personal spaces. Booth 1535.

Modern Fan 1

Using ICFF as a launch pad for their transition to the next generation of design and innovation, Modern Fan Co. will be introducing the new IC/Air2 and IC/Air3, their most recent design collaboration with Guto Indio da Costa. The IC/Air incorporates Modern Fan’s newest high-efficiency DC motor, an LED lighting solution and optimized blade profiles, all in a slender, ultra-modern design. Booth 2256.

Using ICFF as the North American platform, Pablo will be introducing their Fall 2017 collections at booth 833. Among these introductions is Pablo’s Belmont fixture, designed by Brad Ascalon, and named by Interior Design Magazine as a do NOT miss! The Belmont is a re-imagined take on the traditional fabric shade lamp that provides the warmth and preciousness of handcrafted furniture.

Coming off a successful 2016, SONNEMAN has expanded on their innovative Suspenders and Inside-Out Collections. Another winner of the #MetropolisLikes award, Suspenders Precise expands the possibilities with new components that allow for direct and reflected ambient light in both spot and flood options.
